BMC Men’s Bowling season concludes at MSC Tournament

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Blue Mountain College Men’s Bowling concluded their first MSC season over the weekend at the Mid-South Conference 2020 Tournament.

Individually, 103 male bowlers convened at the championships.  Blue Mountain’s leader would be Lucas Hartigan (JR/Tupelo, Miss.).

Hartigan finished 21st, while Shawn Green (JR/Jackson, Miss.) was 35th, Elliott Whavers was 37th, Jacob Wilcher (JR/Kossuth, Miss.) was 46th, Cody Weaver (JR/Walnut, Miss.) was 68th, Cole Tomlin was 74th and Peter Moore (FR/Marietta, Miss.) was 99th.

On the doubles side, 49 total teams competed, and Blue Mountain got its first big upset, knocking off 5th ranked Bethel 4-2.

The teams of Lucas Hartigan and Jacob Wilcher finished 12th, while Shawn Green and Elliott Whavers were 13th and Cody Weaver and Cole Tomlin were 37th.

The Alley Toppers were eliminated by Tennessee Wesleyan and Life University.

“I’m really proud of how our guys competed this season,” BMC head coach Creighton Nelms said.  “They did a fantastic job and I certainly expect us to continue and progress.  It’s been a fun year and we look forward to next season.”
