Lady Alley Toppers 14th at Burns Memorial

SMYRNA, Tenn. – (MSC Reports) (ResultsPikeville won the third Mid-South Conference Women’s Bowling Tournament of the season Sunday at the Brandon Burns Memorial at Smyrna Bowling Center, while Blue Mountain women finished 14 out of 14 teams with a 3,981 pin total.

The two-day tournament consisted of six team games on Saturday and 16 baker games on Sunday.

The Bears totaled 9,012 pins over the two-day event led by Kristina Catoe who won the individual title with 1,325 pins and a high of 253. Martin Methodist (Tenn.) finished second with 8,441 pins while Cumberlands (Ky.) was third totaling 8,317 pins.

Campbellsville (Ky.) placed fourth with 8,237 pins, Bethel (Tenn.) finished fifth with 7,891 pins while Thomas More totaled 7,794 pins to finish sixth.

Union (Ky.) was seventh with 7,747 pins, Marian (Ind.) was eighth with 7,733 pins while Shawnee State (Ohio) and Midway (Ky.) round out the top-10 with 7,693 and 7,496 pins, respectively.

Halie Hatfield (JR/Blue Springs, Miss.) would finish 57th individually for Blue Mountain with 887 total pins

Through three MSC events, Pikeville sits atop the MSC standings with a record of 33-1. Martin Methodist is second at 32-2 while Campbellsville and Cumberlands are tied for third with 21-13 records.

The final two regular season MSC Tournaments are scheduled for Feb. 27 and 28 in Louisville Ky.
