BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Blue Mountain College Men’s Bowling competed here at the MSC Baker Bash over the weekend.

On Saturday, the Alley Toppers would place 16th out of 19 teams, bowling a 3341.  Tennessee Southern, formerly Martin Methodist, took the crown with a 4144.

On Sunday, BMC would come in 15th out of 19 teams bowling a 6652, with Tennessee Southern claiming that day also with a 7765.

“We were missing some key players, but I thought we did a pretty good job despite that,” BMC head coach Creighton Nelms said.  “Our freshmen stepped in and did a good job for their first time in collegiate competition.  Drew Turberville (JR/Tupelo, Miss.) and Lucas Hartigan (SR/Tupelo, Miss.) did a great job in the anchor spots, along with mentoring the young guys.  When we return to action, we’ll have a full squad.”

The Toppers will bowl at the Western Bowl 300 in two weeks in Indianapolis, Ind.
