Hawley Named Freshman of the Month


GREENVILLE, S.C. -– Hunter Hawley of Belmont Abbey has been selected as the Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Month for men’s bowling, the league office announced today. The award is for competition that took place during the month of February.
 
A native of Dunn, N.C., Hawley helped the Crusaders to their first tournament title in program history at the Westchester CC Metro Classic as he finished seventh individually with a 181.2 average. Over three series, he bowled a 336, 361 and 390 for 1,087 total pins.

In the singles standings, Hawley stood 14th with a 361, while he teamed with Caleb Higgins to take eighth in the doubles portion of competition.

Belmont Abbey is competing in the USBC Sectional Tournament in Smyrna, Tenn. this weekend.
