Three Vikings compete at USBC Individual Sectionals

ADDISON, Ill. — Rose Klinger, Abigail Clark, and Kennedy Sawyer of the Augustana Vikings women’s bowling team competed at the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) individual sectional event on Friday, closing the books on the 2021-22 season.

The highly-competitive field boasted over 225 participants, with all three Vikings finishing within the top 200. Klinger led the way for the Vikings, earning 167th overall with a total score of 988. Her top scores for the day came in games three and five where she bowled a 181 and an even 200.

Ending the day 21 points behind her teammate was Clark, who came in 179th overall with a score of 967. Clark had a consistent day as five of her six games all fell within 21 points of each other. She posted an average of 161.2 with a high of 182.

Thirteen points behind her was Sawyer, finishing the event in 192nd with a score of 945. Her two best scores came in games one and three, where she secured a 172 and 185.
