Men's and Women's Bowling Places Third at Club Championships and Picks Up Two All-Americans


DAVENPORT, Iowa. — The Adrian College men’s and women’s bowling teams competed at the Club Championships in Iowa earlier this month to finish the season. Both teams had successful showings during the trip with the men’s team placing third and the women’s team placing third.

The women’s team defeated Alma College and Northern Kentucky in the winners bracket before losing to Ohio State in the contenders bracket. The Bulldogs were defeated by University of Wisconsin Milwaukee to finish third. The men won its first and second round matchups before falling to the contenders bracket with a loss to University of Wisconsin Stout. Adrian went on to win the next two competitions and faced Stout again in the contenders championship, but couldn’t make its way back to the finals and took third.

Cameron Klein received an All-Tournament Team award along with Abigail Bird. Bird and Megan StaleyΒ finished with All-American Finalist certificates while Bird and Kylie Middleton were named All-Americans. Bird was award First Team All-American honors and Middleton was named Second Team All-American.
