BEARS BOWLING EARN ALL-ACADEMIC HONORS FOR 2021-22


BROOKLYN, N.Y.­ The Bloomfield College women’s bowling team was recognized by the National Tenpin Coaches Association as the organization announced its all-academic team honorees for the 2021-2022 season.
 
To be recognized, programs must have a cumulative team GPA of a 3.2 or higher for the academic school year.
 
The Bears posted an outstanding 2021-22 season as they finished with a program record 42 victories and finished third for the first time in program history at the East Coast Conference Championship this spring. Bloomfield fought hard in the Semifinal Round of
the tournament, falling 4-3 to the eventual ECC Champion, Wilmington University, at the Coram Country Lanes facility in New York.
 
The Bears posted a team GPA of 3.304 and ranks among the 52 NCAA bowling programs that earned all-academic honors. There were almost 400 student-athletes recognized and Bloomfield had 7-out-of-8 of their players make the prestigious list.
