RICHMOND, Ky. – The Bethel women’s bowling team finished eighth in the recent MSC Baker Shootout held in Richmond. Kentucky.
Tennessee Southern won the event.
The tournament consisted of 40 baker games with the first 20 being bowled yesterday and the final 20 bowled today.
Tennessee Southern tallied 7,666 pins to come away with the victory. Cumberlands (Ky.) finished runner-up with 7,516 pins while Pikeville (Ky.) was third with 7,403 pins.
Campbellsville (Ky.) placed fourth with 7,389 pins, Cumberland (Tenn.) was fifth with 7,211 pins, Union (Ky.) recorded 7,109 pins to finish sixth and Midway (Ky.) was seventh with 7,067 pins.
Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) with 6,844 pins was ninth and Shawnee State (Ohio) tallied 6,803 pins to place 10th.
Thomas More (Ky.) and Tennessee Wesleyan rounded out the MSC teams in the standings in 13th and 14th, respectively.
Pikeville captured the JV title with 7,021 pins.
The next MSC tournament is scheduled for October 22-23 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
