Fairview Heights, Ill. – One week after a win at the Motiv Penguin Classic, the Huskers head to the Bearcat Hammer Open, hosted by top-seeded Mckendree University.
A total of 11 teams will be competing this weekend in Fairview Heights, including six of the top 25 teams ranked by the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA). The list of teams joining the Huskers this weekend includes No. 1 Mckendree, No. 15 Maryville, No. 21 Central Missouri, No. 24 Lincoln Memorial, No. 25 Newman, Quincy, Tusculum, Kentucky Wesleyan, Mercyhurst and Upper Iowa.
Competition begins Friday morning at 9:40 a.m. (CT) with five sets of five-game Baker matches, followed by five traditional matches on Saturday morning. Sunday morning will begin with a sixth traditional round to solidify placements for Sunday’s bracket-play championship tournament, where each team will compete in a best four-of-seven Baker style match beginning at 8:30 a.m. (CT).
