Lady Hornets Finishes Track Kat Klash in 18th Place


HOUSTON, Texas | The Alabama State women’s bowling team finished the 2022 Track Kat Klash in 18th place out of 20 competing teams in the tournament. 

Alabama State went 1-4 in traditional play on day two. The Lady Hornets fell short to Maryland Eastern Shore (1,071-783), Maryville (991-874), and McKendree (1,022-897) before picking up a crucial win over UAB, 972-880. ASU finished traditional play with a nine-point loss to Upper Iowa (894-885).

Alabama State entered the tournament bracket as the 17th seed as they took down Alabama A&M 4-1 in the first round. The Lady Hornets fought hard but fell to UAB 4-3 in the second round. ASU finished the position round with a 4-3 loss to Alabama A&M to finish in 18th place as a team.

Bailee Chapman finished in 45th place for the Lady Hornets followed by Savanna Razor in 44th. Imani Davis placed 64th with her teammate Lyric O’Steen finishing 67th. Alahna Degruy finished in 76th to round out the Hornets in the field of play.

The Alabama State women’s bowling team returns to action on Friday, November 11, 2022, as they head to Jackson, Mississippi for the Sonic Boom Classic hosted by Jackson State at Fannin Lanes.
