Bowling 4th at BGSU Falcon Classic


Sandusky, OH – Alma Women’s Bowling was on the road at the BGSU Falcon Classic. Alma finished 4th of 13 teams with a total of 4514.

The Scots got off to a strong start, with Sarah Gadde leading the way. Through 2 games, Alma was in 2ndplace. Alma worked through 12 splits in the third game, finishing strong at the end of game 3. However, they had dropped to 4th in the standings. The Scots bounced back in games 4 and 5, using them to spring back into 2nd place in the standings. They then went on to bowl 12 Baker games, finishing 4th overall after all was said and done.

Sarah Gadde led the way for Alma. Her 993 placed her 2nd overall individually. Sarah Marzolino also put in a solid result individually, coming in 29th overall with an 873. Alexis Marquardt bowled an 852 on the way to a 33rd place finish. Ziayra Hulbert put up a 683 over 4 games to come in 77th, and rounding out the top 5 scores for Alma was Morgan Smith with a 671.

Head Coach Kyle Woodcock said, “The team did a great job today with their spares. I also felt like we bowled as team today which is what we worked on all week in practice.”

The Scots will be back in action next week as they take part in the American Heartland III Tournament.
