D’LBERVILLE, Miss. | The Alabama State women’s bowling team sits in second place after day one of the Southwestern Athletic Conference West Round Up at Cypress Lanes in D’lberville, Mississippi. After a day of play, the Lady Hornets placed five individuals in the top 20.
Alabama State went 3-2 in total pinfall play starting with a 1092-884 win over Prairie View A&M. The Lady Hornets followed that up with a 935-879 victory over Southern University, and a dominant 1076-649 win over Grambling.Â
ASU fell short in their final two matches of the day after a 1035-875 loss to FAMU, and a narrow 989-937 loss to Jackson State.
The Lady Hornets return to play tomorrow for day two of the SWAC West Round Up at Cypress Lanes in D’lberville, Miss.
