Bowling Competes at Northeast Classic After Long Lay-Off

Deptford, N.J. – The long-awaited head coaching debut for Arthur O’Connor came this weekend for the Adelphi University women’s bowling team at the Northeast Classic — hosted by Sacred Heart University — at Deptford Lanes.

With four Top 25 teams on the docket, the Panthers (11-23) gained critical experience towards competing for an ECC Championship in March.

Adelphi consistently averaged a 700 series across its five Baker and five traditional matches. The Brown and Gold’s high series was an 817 against Wagner College.

Senior Kristen Derr kicked off the traditional slate with back-to-back 200 games and averaged a season-high 200.4 across the five matches.

Junior Blanca Fraticelli had the high game on the weekend, impressively rolling a 235 in a nailbiting 793-789 loss to Chestnut Hill.

Both new additions to the roster, Morgan Sapinski and Lydia Fraga Cordoba saw their first collegiate action at the tournament.

O’Connor and the Panthers will make a visit to Hailey Spencer’s backyard of Dallas, Texas for the Lady Techsters Classic from Feb. 10-12.
