Men's Bowling Wins AHBA Conference Championship


MONROE, Mich. — The Adrian College men’s bowling team competed in the American Heartland Bowling Association Conference Championships on Saturday afternoon. For the first time in program history, the Adrian College men’s bowling team were named Conference Champions after their first place finish on Saturday. Of the 13 total teams, Adrian topped the conference with a total score of 6,976.

The conference championship consisted of 30 baker games where each of the starters bowling two frames a game. Of the 30 games bowled, the Bulldogs bowled over 200 in 17 of the games. Adrian got hot as the day went on bowling 200 or high in 11 of the final 13 games. The team highlighted the day with a 258 in the sixth game of the day and later bowled a 257. 

The starters for Adrian consisted of Bryce Blackledge, Cameron Klein, David Winters, Griffin Reynard, Joshua Felcoski, and Reed Scripter.

Adrian defeated second place Trine University by 48 pins and third place Wright State University by 66 pins. For Adrian, Felcoski earn AHBA All-Conference Honors.

The Bulldogs will continue their season on Saturday, February 11 at the Alma Classic at the Jax 60 Bowling Center.
