GASTONIA, N.C. — The fourth-seeded Belmont Abbey women’s bowling team pulled another upset on Sunday to make the championship round, but No. 2 Lincoln Memorial ended the run by sweeping the Mega-Match at the 2023 Conference Carolinas/Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship. Still, the runner-up finish in the best in school history for the program that was started in 2016.
The day began with a 4-2 win over Emmanuel in the semifinals, setting up the final round.
Following the championship, Aubrey Lloyd and Canan Bademci were named to the all-tournament team.
