NEW HAVEN, Conn. (April 12, 2023) — Nine student-athletes on Wednesday were named to the inaugural 2022-23 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women’s Bowling All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. Four of the six CACC schools that compete in the sport were represented on the All-Academic Team.

Bloomfield College led the way with three honorees on the team, including Jessica Goldberg, Emma Thies and Amanda Madara. Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College and Felician University had a pair of honorees apiece make the unit.

Caldwell’s honorees included All-CACC performers Lauren Marks and Rianna Smith, as those two were vital in helping to lead the Cougars to the inaugural CACC Bowling Championship last month in Philadelphia.

Eryn Moore and Hope Widmer represented CHC, and Ashley Ferrara and Madelyn Weston were Felician’s representation on the squad.

To be eligible for CACC All-Academic status, a student-athlete must: a) Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of immediate preceding term (may include summer for fall sport participants); b) Minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution; c) Student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution.


ABOUT THE CACC

The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference is an NCAA Division II Conference composed of 13 institutions in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. The member institutions are Alliance University, Bloomfield College, University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican (N.Y.) University, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
