SMITHFIELD, RI – The Bloomfield College of Montclair State University Bowling team earned National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) All-Academic honors, the organization announced in July. In addition, three of the five rostered student-athletes were named 2022-23 NTCA All-Academic scholar athletes.
The NTCA recognizes NCAA bowling teams that excel academically each year. To garner recognition, programs must finish the academic year with a cumulative team GPA of 3.2 or higher and be a current member of the NTCA. Out of 42 qualifying team, the Bears finished third in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference schools on the list with a 3.300 mark, trailing only Chestnut Hill College and Caldwell University.
Additionally, the NTCA recognizes student-athletes who finish the academic year with a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher as NTCA All-Academic scholar athletes. Jessica Goldberg, Amanda Madara and Alexa McManus were three of the 285 total student-athletes who qualified in 2022-23 and received honors for their hard work in the classroom.
