Wong is off to an exceptional start in her debut campaign on the collegiate circuit.
Most recently, Wong bowled a season-high 198.7 traditional average that placed her second among all ECC bowlers at the widely-renowned UMES Hawk Classic. With several nationally-ranked teams converging on the Eastern Shore, Wong averaged well over nine pins on her first ball and rolled three 200 games — including a 226 that helped knock off No. 12 UMES by seventeen pins.
Wong threw half (30-for-60) of her traditional shots for strikes, in addition to maintaining a blistering 223.3 average when taking the ball in the 10th frame.
Even in the Baker format, Wong posted her highest marks of the season, averaging a 179.4 and converting over sixty percent of her spare attempts.
Wong and the ‘Cats now look to flip the calendar to 2024 and await a trip to Las Vegas, Nev. from Jan. 8-10 for the Stormin’ Blue & White Vegas Classic at South Point Bowling Plaza.
