Hornets’ Bowling Has Tough Day Against National Field at Mid Winter Classic


JONESBORO, Ark. | Alabama State University Bowling faced five top 10 nationally ranked opponents in the NCAA RPI ranking on the first day Mid-Winter Classic on Friday.
 
Alabama State fell to top ranked Nebraska to open the day 990-872 before falling to No. 10 Louisiana Tech 1015-986 in match two.
 
Defending National Champion and second ranked Jacksonville State beat the Lady Hornets 944-899 in the third match while No. 3 Vanderbilt upended ASU 1138-912.
 
Alabama State closed the day with a loss to eighth ranked Sam Houston State 954-918.
 
Day two of the Mid Winter Classic begins at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
