In another exciting celebration of innovation in bowling center design, two of Funk Bowling’s clients have been honored in the prestigious Bowling Center Management (BCM) Design Awards. Funk supported both of these award-winning projects with cutting-edge bowling alley equipment, helping to bring the clients’ visions to life — but the credit for these stunning venues goes to the proprietors and design teams that poured their creativity into every detail.

Selected among standout venues nationwide, the 2024 BCM Design Awards recognize projects completed in the previous year that redefine what a bowling experience can be. Best Bar/Lounge

Five Iron Golf – Kirkland, Washington

At their Kirkland location, Five Iron Golf created a vibrant, sophisticated bar and lounge area that seamlessly incorporates entertainment, including Duckpin bowling. Modular white stone panels, a stunning curved polished concrete countertop, and a backbar that opens to the outdoors all combine to deliver a dynamic, contemporary atmosphere.

Funk Bowling proudly supplied Duckpin ball returns, high-pressure laminate lanes, string pinsetters, and automatic scoring equipment to support Five Iron’s in-house design team. With venues in cities like Detroit, Chicago, and now Kirkland, Five Iron Golf is known for blending immersive golf simulation with exciting new activities like Duckpin bowling — and Funk is proud to be a trusted equipment partner in their continued expansion.

Lane Park in Scottsdale delivers a high-end entertainment experience through an exquisite, cohesive interior design. Offering an array of games — including bar-style curling, sapo, carrom, shuffleboard, and Duckpin bowling — the venue’s understated textures, sophisticated lighting, and refined color palette create an inviting and elevated atmosphere.
