Men's Bowling Competes at the Highly-Competitive Kegel/ISBPA Classic to Start 2020

ADDISON, Ill.–The Adrian College men’s bowling team rolled a 8164 pinfall total over the weekend at the Kegel/ISBPA Midwest Collegiate Classic to finish 44th out of 75 teams. The format for the tournament was five games and 20 bakers, with two days of competition.

During the first day of individual team games, the Bulldogs started slow with a 821 series. They quickly got back together with a 1,056 for game two. They kept going with a 961 series for game three. They ended the last two team games with a 830 and a 955. They were 36th after day one, but day two for bakers was a little bit of a slope as the team couldn’t make any ground to fall eight places for their final standing.

St. Ambrose took first place on 9492 pins, with Wichita State (9366) and Calumet College (9328) finishing second and third, respectively.

Individually, junior Jansen Stone bowled five games for the Bulldogs and threw a 978 series. Stone averaged 195.6 for the day and finished in 98th place out of 490 bowlers. Right behind him was senior Jared Caudill throwing a 977 series. Caudill averaged 195.4 for his five games and finished 100th. Senior Austin Foate finished with a 919 series for five games, averaging 183.8. Freshman Cameron Klein threw a 917 series for five games, averaging 183.4. Senior Jadin Majewski threw a 832 series for five games. Junior Joe Borowski and freshmen Noah Bany, Griffin Reynard also saw action.

The Adrian Bulldogs will be traveling to Pittsburgh, Pa., for their last two American Heartland Intercollegiate Bowling Conference tournaments on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 25-26.
