WHITEWATER, WIS. — The National Tenpin Coaches Association recognizes NCAA bowling teams that excel academically each year. Programs must have a cumulative team GPA of a 3.2 or higher for the academic school year. For the 2019-2020 academic school year, 57 bowling programs achieved a cumulative team GPA of 3.2 or higher. 
 
Bloomfield College women’s bowling placed 8th highest on the list with a 3.682 team GPA. The 2019-2020 highest team GPA award goes to Adelphi University with 3.82 cumulative GPA. All NCAA bowling programs achieving a cumulative team GPA of 3.2 or higher can be seen by clicking HERE.
 
The National Tenpin Coaches Association also recognizes student athletes who have excelled in the classroom throughout the academic year. This year there are 380 honorees, representing NCAA bowling programs at 69 schools. A student athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher for the academic school year to qualify for this award.
 
Christina Gonzalez (Brick, NJ), Quinn Hodson (Albany, NY), Victoria Johnson (Edison, NJ) and Natalya Porcello (Albany, NY) all made the list for Bloomfield College. “I am proud of the team and each of the student athletes for achieving this academic excellence, athletic director Mrs. Sheila Wooten said. “They are a testament to what can be accomplished at Bloomfield College when you find the right balance between being a student and an athlete. Congratulations to you all.”
