Bergin Named CCIW Bowler of the Week

Aurora University senior Alex Bergin was named as the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Bowler of the Week, Wednesday, March 9. 

Bergin helped lead the Spartans to a share of the CCIW’s regular season title on Sunday. AU finished with a 14-2 record in CCIW competition, which tied for first place with Marian. Bergin led the Spartans with an 82.9 percent fill percentage during both CCIW events held February 5-6 (Baker) and March 5-6 (Traditional). The Spartans move onto a four-team CCIW Bowling Tournament held March 26-27 at Mardi Gras in DeKalb, Illinois.

Next action for the Spartan women’s bowling team comes on Friday, March 18 through Sunday, March 20 when they travel to Nashville, Tennessee for the Columbia 300 Music City Classic.
