Huskers Finish Fifth in Wisconsin


Kenosha, Wis. – The Nebraska bowling team finished fifth at the 2022 Motiv Ladyjack Classic with a record of 9-5 and total pinfall of 13,231. The Huskers are now 37-16 on the year.   

NU started Sunday’s play with three five-game baker matches and claimed three wins, as the team faced UW-Whitewater (902-989), Valparaiso (994-970) and No. 20 Lewis (1,036-983).  

The Big Red then advanced to a final best-of-seven match against No. 9 Youngstown State for final placements. The Huskers swept No. 9 Youngstown in a 4-0 victory (207-183), (270), (214-160) and (206-181) to claim fifth place. 

Freshman Jillian Martin (227.20 average) took fifth in the individual portion of the event, while senior Kendyl Hofmeister received 21st overall with an average of 211.60.   

Up next, Nebraska will return to the lanes in the spring semester.
