Brehm, Lucas Finish in Top-Three as Women Take Fourth and Men Take Fifth at NAIA Louisville Invitational

LOUISVILLE, Kent. ā This past weekend, the Baker bowling teams travelled to Louisville, Kent., where they compete in the 2022 NAIA Louisville Invitational. The women took home fourth place and the men took home fifth place at this event while each team had one finisher inside the top three individually.
On the women’s side, the Wildcats took fourth place behind Pikeville, UT Southern and St. Francis. Baker bowled an individual total of 4,581 and added a total of 2,864 from Baker games to finish with an overall total of 7,445 to finish ahead of Grand View who had a total of 7,419.
Caitlin Lucas was the top finisher once again for Baker on the women’s side, posting an average of 199.6 in five games to finish in third place. Her best game was game four where she posted a score of 234. Kinsey Miller was the next highest finisher for Baker in 20th place, while Kristina Harris took 23rd and Emily Stamper took 25th.
For the men’s side, the Wildcats finished in fifth place. With a total of 4,812 in individual games and a total of 3,049 in Baker games, the Wildcatss posted an overall total of 7,861 to finish just behind Missouri Baptist who had a total of 7,885.
Zac Brehm put together a huge weekend for the Wildcats, finishing in second place with an average score of 216.6. Four of his five games were in the 200’s with his best game coming in game five with a 245. Tanner Eckerle had an average of 202.2 on the tournament for 11th place, while Josh King took 19th and Dillon Harris took 28th.
Both Baker bowling teams will now wait until Dec. 18-21, when they will travel to Las Vegas to compete in the Glen Carlson Las Vegas Invite (Dec. 18-19) and the Collegiate Shootout (Dec. 20-21).
