GREENVILLE, S.C. –- Belmont Abbey’s Canan Bademci has been selected as the Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Month for women’s bowling, the league office announced today. The Patchogue, N.Y., native bowled 12 individual games over two team events during November, averaging 17.2 pins (2,069 total) and one top-20 finish.
Bademci the month with 1,079 total pins over six games for a 179.8 average during a 20th-place finish at the Bowler Southern Collegiate Classic Nov. 5-6. It was the most pins she has tallied in an event this season and resulted in a top-20 finish. She closed the month at the MSC Brandon Burns Memorial, where she collected 990 pins over six games for a 164 average and a high game of 202.
