Huggins Named Conference Carolinas Men's Bowler of the Week


GREENVILLE, S.C. –- Belmont Abbey’s Caleb Huggins has been named the Conference Carolinas Men’s Bowler of the Week for his performances in the week ending Jan. 15, the league office announced today. The award is the first for a Crusader this year.

A sophomore from Gaston, S.C., Huggins helped the Crusaders to a 28th-place team finish in the 71-team Kegel/ISBPA Collegiate Classic with 8,816 total pins. He averaged 212.4 over five games, topping 200 three times. His high was 235, while his lowest efforts was 197 twice. Huggins’ 1,062 total pins placed him in a tie for 46th out of 469 bowlers.
