WOMEN'S BOWLING SETS PROGRAM RECORD WITH 5-0 PERFORMANCE ON DAY 1 OF GARDEN STATE CLASSIC


NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – The Bloomfield College women’s bowling team got the 2023 leg of their season off to a tremendous start on Saturday as they set a program record by going 5-0 on the day. The Bears competed at the Garden State Classic hosted by Monmouth University in North Brunswick and took the opening match up against Molloy University, 881-797.
 
Bloomfield next used scores of 850-752, 871-691 and 895-866 to earn victories over Howard University, William Smith College and Bryant University respectively. They closed out Baker competition with a 958-869 win over St. Francis College of Brooklyn to cement the record-setting day.
 
Emma Thies (Lake Hopatcong, NJ) led the team with 928 total pins on Day 1.
