Lincoln, Neb. – With two titles under its belt, the No. 3 Nebraska bowling team is hungry to grab another tournament victory at the 2023 Mid-Winter Invitational in Jonesboro, Ark., hosted by No. 4 Arkansas State.
This weekend, Arkansas will host 17 teams, 12 of them ranked in the top 25 and all top five seeded teams in the country. The participating schools are No. 1 McKendree, No. 2 Vanderbilt, No. 4 Arkansas State, No. 5 Stephen F. Austin, No. 7 Youngstown State, No. 8 Maryville, No. 9 Sam Houston, No. 12 Louisiana Tech, No. 17 University of Central Missouri, No. 20 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, No. 21 Lincoln Memorial, Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Grambling, Jackson State and Tusculum.
The Huskers will kick off the tournament Friday at 10 a.m. (CT) with five matches of five baker games total pinfall beginning with No. 1 McKendree, followed by matches against Jackson State, Alabama State, No. 21 Lincoln Memorial and No. 4 Arkansas State to round out the day. Saturday will consist of each team participating in five matches of traditional games starting at 9:25 a.m. (CT).
The combined total pinfall results will seed each team for Sunday’s championship bracket to conclude the tournament. Each team will compete in three matches of best 4-of-7 baker games for final placements and awards.
