ARLINGTON, Texas | The Alabama State Uniersity women’s boowling defeated Florida A&M Uniersity 4-3 in thriiller to advance to Sunday’s SWAC Championship match.
The Lady Hornets will bid for their second straight SWAC Bowling title and fourth in school history against either Florida A&M or Prairie View A&M on Sunday. Prairie View eliminated Jackson State in the losers bracket to advance to play FAMU on Sunday.
Florida A&M won the traditional match 936 to 847. Savanna Razor led way for ASU with a 192.
Alabama State rebounced for a narrow 876-865 win to capture the match 4-3. Alahna Degruy rolled a 199 and Zoe More rolled 190. .
Lyric O’steen climbed into 8th in the individual standings with a 194.00 average followed by Razor in 12th with a 187.5 average DeGruy is 19th (172.5) follwoed by Bailey Champman (22nd/164.5) and Emani Davis (23rd/156.5).
