On Tuesday afternoon (May 23), the College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its 2022-23 Academic All-District at-large bids for winter and spring sports. The Aquinas men’s bowling team had one player receive this honor:
Michael Deming | Sophomore, Business Administration
- Averaged 202.4 pins per game this season.
- Bowled 27 of his 47 games over 200. Season-best game of 276 pins.
- Four top-10 finishes with a season-high of 8th place at the Cornerstone Classic.
Deming, a native of Boyne City, Michigan, also earned himself a place on the All-WHAC Second Team this season after an impressive performance at the conference championships.
This award is presented to student-athletes who excel both on and off the field. Recipients are nominated and then selected by CSC members based on the following criteria: Must be a starter or important reserve who has played at least 50 percent of their team’s games, holds a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale), has completed one full calendar year at his/her institution (exception for first-year graduate students enrolled at a new school) and is at least a sophomore both academically and athletically. All nominated student-athletes from their institution are named to the All-District Team and advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be voted on and announced at a later date.
