Spartan women's bowling earns NTCA All-Academic accolades


Aurora University women’s bowling and two Spartan student-athletes were honored by the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) who recently announced the NTCA All-Academic Team and Individual student achievements for the 2022-2023 season. 

The National Tenpin Coaches Association recognizes student athletes who have excelled in the classroom throughout the academic year. This year there are 285 honorees, representing NCAA bowling programs at 57 schools. A student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher for the academic school year to qualify for this award. The National Tenpin Coaches Association is privileged to recognize outstanding academic achievement by our student athletes. 

Spartans recognized by the national organization, Jenna Malone and Annemarie Ruzevich. They were among more than 280 to be recognized for their academic achievements while competing at the NCAA level in bowling.

AU was also honored with the NTCA Team All-Academic award, finishing among 42 bowling programs that achieved a cumulative team GPA of 3.2 or higher.
