GREENVILLE, S.C. — Belmont Abbey’s Lance Owens has been named Conference Carolinas Men’s Bowler of the Week, the league office announced today. The award is the fifth of the year for the Crusaders and the first for Owens, who earned Freshman of the Month honors for February.
A freshman from New Bern, N.C., Owens placed 35th at the USBC Intercollegiate Singles Championship Sectional Tournament. He totaled 1,265 pins for an average of 210.8. All six of his games were over 200 with a high game of 234.
