Madelyn Lathrop earns CCIW recognition for third straight season


NAPERVILLE, Ill. — The 2023-24 CCIW All-Conference awards for women’s bowling were announced on Thursday, with Madelyn Lathrop earning First Team All-CCIW. 

Lathrop has earned all-conference honors for the third straight season and her second time receiving first-team award. Lathrop is in the top 10 of CCIW athletes in every stat category except for one, which includes an overall Player Composite Index of eighth place. Lathrop finished the season with a 76.6 percent fill rate and a strike percentage of 33. Lathrop also made single-pin spares 81.4 percent of the time as well as 72.2 make-able spares. In a vast majority of contests, Lathrop was the anchor for the Vikings. At the second CCIW event, Lathrop bowled 30 frames, with six strikes and 16 spares to finish in 11th place. 

Additionally, Sarah Stevanovic was named the recipient of the conference’s RESPECT Award for the second year in a row.
