Alabama State Has Strong Numbers In Latest APR Report


INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. | The NCAA’s release today of the 2022-23 Academic Progress Report (APR) again reveals outstanding performance by the Alabama State University’s athletics programs.

Men’s basketball, women’s bowling, women’s cross country, and men’s tennis earned perfect 1000 APR single year marks for 2022-23  Additionally, 17-of-18 sports earned a 930 score or better. Alabama State sponsors 18 sports. 

 

Baseball, men’s basketball, men’s golf, men’s tennis, women’s basketball, women’s bowling, women’s cross country, women’s soccer and women’s tennis all had 1,000 scores in the 2022-23 eligibility/graduation category.

 

Seven sports – men’s basketball, men’s cross country, men’s track, men’s tennis, women’s bowling and women’s cross country scored 1,000 on 2022-23 retention. Overall, 14 sports scored 930 or better in the 2022-23 retention and 16 sports had 930 or better on multi-year retention.

The APR accounts for eligibility, retention and graduation of all student-athletes on scholarship and provides a measure of each team’s academic performance.
