Bears Women’s Bowling Team Earned 10th Highest GPA in the Nation Announced By NTCA

BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The Bloomfield College of Montclair State University Bowling team earned the 10^th highest GPA in the country as announced by the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) organization on June 11^th. The ranking represents the highest All-Academic honor the team has achieved in program history. In addition, four out-of-the five women on the squad were named, 2023-24 NTCA All-Academic scholar athletes.
 
The NTCA recognizes NCAA bowling teams that excel academically each year. To garner recognition, programs must finish the academic year with a cumulative team GPA of 3.2 or higher and be a current member of the NTCA. Out of 61 qualifying programs this year, the Bears 10^th place ranking put them tops in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference schools.

The National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) takes great pride in commending student-athletes who have exhibited outstanding academic excellence throughout the academic year. In this season’s celebration, they recognized 364 distinguished scholar-athletes from 75 NCAA Bowling programs.

For Bloomfield, Alexa McManus, Alyssa Jones, Illianna Boyce and Lauren Hayes were all distinguished by the NTCA.
