Women's Bowling Picked Seventh in ECC Preseason Poll

Colonia, N.J. — On Monday, the East Coast Conference announced its women’s bowling preseason poll, slotting the Adelphi bowling team in at number seven out of nine teams.

The Panthers finished 10 points behind D’Youville, an ECC championship finalist, seven points ahead of Saint Anselm and 19 points ahead of St. Thomas Aquinas.

Head coach Arthur O’Connor will be joined by new assistant coach Paige Sztabnik for the 2024-25 season.

After the graduation of third-team all-ECC selection Blanca Fraticelli, there will be plenty of opportunities for someone to step up in the number one role. The team returns some experienced bowlers in juniors Carly Wu, Tiffany Wong and Giana Giampapa. This trio will look to continue their impressive bowling from last season and lead the Panthers to a deep ECC championship run.

The ‘Cats also return sophomores Arianna Caballero, Erica DeJesus and Brianna Tringali. The three played a pivotal role in 2023-24 with DeJesus being ranked in the top 15 of the conference in split conversion rate and Tringali standing out as the team’s second-leading anchor bowling in traditional matches.

Adelphi brings in an exciting freshman class with the additions of Arianne Guaman, Payton Hoffay, Evangeline Laban, Gayle Lopez, Chelsea Pabey, Jillian Sanchez, Abigail Sullivan, Skye Tadani and Raina Tanisha.

O’Connor and the Panthers will start their season at the Golden Bear Invite, hosted by Kutztown, in Sinking Springs, Pa. on Oct. 19.
