Wisconsin – The Aquinas bowling teams competed in day two of the Mid-West Collegiate Championship hosted by AMF Lanes and Bowlero Wauwatosa. The men’s team competed against 53 total teams while the women’s played against 42. Both competed consistently in play. The teams worked well from within to compete in these baker games.
The men’s team had a strong start earning 754 points in set one. Set 2 they improved to 790. The third set was the lowest they scored, at 725. The Saints had a remarkable fourth set bringing in 862 points. This brought the Saints final score for this competition to 8012 for a 23rd place finish.
The women’s team started the day with a solid 747 in set one. They remained consistent in set 2 with a 743. The Saints had a loss of momentum in set three and dropped their scoring to 620. They were able to bring it back in the final set with a score of 722. Their final score for the two days of game play was 7200, good for 21st.
In day one of the competition, Michael Deming provided an outstanding performance for the Saints. He ended the competition at 7th on the individual side of the board. This helped the Saints earn 4,881 to start the day today.
