SINKING SPRING, Pa. — Belmont Abbey placed three bowlers in the top 20 and won four of five traditional head-to-head matches, leading the Crusaders to third place after the first day of the Golden Bear Invite, hosted by Kutztown State.
The Abbey posted traditional game wins against Division I Mercyhurst (874-800), Adelphi (845-801), Molloy (960-719) and Holy Family (907-701). The lone setback came against Dominican (NY) by a score of 838-810.
Sunday’s action begins at 9:15 a.m., and features four Baker matches followed by a best-of-seven placement match.
