Sinking Springs, Pa. — Head coach Arthur O’Connor and the Adelphi women’s bowling team kicked off its season this weekend at the Golden Bear Invite, hosted by Kutztown.

The team posted a 3-7 record, picking up a win over Caldwell and two wins over Holy Family.

“I’m very proud with the start to our season,” O’Connor said. “The team bowled really well in its first event of the season and there’s always room for improvement.”

The Panthers had their high game in the victory over Caldwell, racking up 885 pins in the traditional match. Adelphi scored over 800 in six of its ten matches.

Giana Giampapa had the highest score of the weekend, bowling a 193 against Caldwell.

Tiffany Wong had the team’s high average in traditional matches recording a 172.

The Panthers will return to the lanes on Sunday, Oct. 27 when they participate in the Molloy hosted Dezy Strong Classic.
