About Bowie State

The Bulldogs are coming off a third place finish in the conference championships a year ago, concluding its 2023-24 season 49-7 overall and 43-5 in the CIAA. In unfamiliar territory, the Bulldogs suffered conferences losses against Fayetteville State and Virginia Union in the same year and that had not happened since 2019. Notable highlights during last seasons campaign, featured Kamryn Smith who was named the CIAA’s Rookie of the Year after being named the Rookie Bowler of the Month three times. Additionally, Chalia Gray and TaVera Johnson joined Smith on the All-CIAA Bowling Team. The Bulldogs repeated as Northern Division champions for the ninth straight season with a 43-5 conference record and 33-3 Northern Division record during the regular season.

Bowie State returns four players from last year’s squad led by both Johnson and Smith while the Bulldogs welcome two new faces including Arianna Clayton and Harmony Manzie. BSU is led by Andrew Campbell who will began his ninth season at the helm.

Up Next

This weekend’s meet will be the lone event for the Bulldogs in 2024. Bowie State will return to action in the New Year with the CIAA Event II hosted by Virginia Union on Jan. 24-26.
