MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State turned in a 5-0 day two at the ISTAP Hornet Invitational at AMF Bolero on Saturday.
The Lady Hornets improved to 9-1 overall over the two days heading into Sunday’s bracket play.
The day started with a win over in-state rival Alabama A&M University 851-831 and took down Florida A&M University 993-644 in match two.
Alabama State kept the day going, defeating Grambling State University 879-714 and Southern University 921-841.
The Lady Hornets closed the day with a come-from-behind win over Jackson State University 938-914.
Lyric Osteen finished on top of the individual standings with 1,025 total pins and a 205.0 average. Jenna Knight is in second place with 927 pints and a. 187.0 average.
Payton Hargrove totaled 899 pins and a 179.0 average to finish seventh, followed by Savanna Razor in ninth place with 882 pins for a 176.4 average.
Olivia Miller claimed 13th, totaling 847 pins and a 169.4 average.
Bracket play will begin on Sunday at 9 a.m.
