Howell Township, N.J. — The Adelphi University bowling team took a quick trip to New Jersey this past weekend when they participated in the Monmouth hosted Garden State Classic.
The field was very competitive with six of the top ten teams in the country participating. The Panthers knocked down a team-high 811 pins against #8 Maryville in a traditional match and then 903 pins in a baker match against #20 FDU.
Erica DeJesus had a good weekend of bowling, picking up a fill percentage of 74.2% and converting on 76.2% oh her single spare opportunities.
Skye Tadani led the team with 17.17 pins per frame and knocked down 77.6% of the pins that were in front of her.
Brianna Tringali had a team-high strike percentage of 35.1% and Carly Wu led the ‘Cats in single spare conversion percentage at 88.9%.
Head coach Arthur O’Connor and the Panthers will return to the lanes on Friday, Jan. 17 when they compete in the Sacred Heart hosted Northeast Classic.
