Bowling 6th at Root Grip Raider Classic

Kettering, OH – Alma Women’s Bowling was on the road on Saturday and Sunday to take part in the Roto Grip Raider Classic. Alma finished in 6th place after 2 days of competition.

This tournament was a 2 day tournament. The teams bowled 5 games on Saturday, finishing in 4th place after day 1 action.

The teams returned on Sunday to play 16 games. The competition was really tight between Alma, Marian, and Ohio State. Ohio State caught fire in the closing sets, and they were able to overtake Alma, pushing the Scots down to 6th.

“It was great to see our best regular game as the last game and showing the fight in this team. In the Bakers we bowled  close to our season average we just ran into a red hot Ohio State team.”, said Head Coach Kyle Woodcock.

Cassie White was Alma’s top bowler, posting a 928 to take 11th place overall. The next highest Scot was Sarah Gadde, who bowled an 896 to place 16th.  Shortly behind her was Morgan Smith, who put up an 886 to take 20th.  Hallie Weaver posted a 574 over 4 games to take home 91st. Rounding out the top 5 for Alma was Faith Bell, who posted a 469 over 3 sets of action.

Alma will be back in action next week at the BGSU Falcon Classic.
