Bulldog Bowling Returns to Action for James Brown Invitational, Hosted by Morgan State


TOWNSON, Md. – Alabama A&M bowling will return to action on Friday for the first time since the SWAC East Round-up last weekend as they take part in the James Brown Invitational, hosted by Morgan State over the weekend inside of the AMF Country Club Lanes.

The Bulldogs finished 7-7 in their last tournament, for an average of 174.6 pins per game on the weekend, for a fifth-place finish in the Round-Up.

Senior Nariya Jackson (Fort Wayne, Ind.) continues to lead the way for A&M, ending last week in tenth in the individual marks with a pin total of 2,548 and an average of 182.0 per game. Meanwhile, freshman Rose Ugbinada (Vancouver, Wash.) also competed well, finishing at 22 with a 2,235-pin count and an average of 171.92 over 13 games.

The Bulldogs will have two more tournaments following this weekend to finish out February and March, before taking part in the 2023 SWAC Bowling Championships in Dallas, Texas to close out the season.
