MONTGOMARY, Ala. | Support The Athletics Program at Alabama State University (ASU) also known as ISTAP will host its 21^st Annual Meet-the-Coaches Brunch. The Brunch will be held Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 9:00 A.M. in the John Garrick Hardy Student Center located on the beautiful campus of ASU.  To register for the brunch or join, contact 334-264-5564. 

In addition to this being the 21^st Annual Meet the Coaches Brunch, it is also ISTAP’S Silver Anniversary. Please save the date and join us in launching ISTAP’S yearlong Silver Anniversary celebration.

Please join us in a commitment/recommitment of Coach James A. Shannon and the other thirteen Founders’ vision for an organization whose sole mission is to support the athletics program at ASU.

I am proud to say that as we enter this 25th year, ISTAP has fulfilled its Mission of financial support, physical attendance of athletic events, and spiritual support for the ASU Athletics Department.

During our Annual Meet-the-Coaches Brunch you will have an opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal, and fellowship with other Hornets in addition to hearing from Dr. Quinton T. Ross, Jr., President of Alabama State University, Dr. Jason Cable, Athletics Director, and the Head Coaches of each Sport.

The Annual Meet-the-Coaches Brunch serves two purposes:

One as a University/Community Kickoff to the upcoming Academic /Athletic year, and as our second major fundraiser (our primary fund raiser is your Annual Donation made to ASU ISTAP via the ASU Foundation.

Athletes from the sports of Football, Cross-Country and Track and Field will be recognized in addition to several businesses and individuals who have contributed to the overall success of ISTAP.

Did you know that ISTAP annually provides funds for all eighteen sports, plus Cheerleading, and Conditioning.?

There are many opportunities for you to support ISTAP to ensure that its mission continues.

Elite Gift     – $170.00 ($50.00 goes to the Annual Gift). $120.00 can be designated to one or more named sports. This will be in addition to the sport annual allotment.
