GREENSBORO, N.C. — Three Belmont Abbey women’s bowlers averaged over 170 Saturday, led by Jolie Boudreaux at 178.5, helping Belmont Abbey maintain its 13th-place standing after the second day of the Stallings Invitational, hosted by North Carolina A&T. The Abbey went 1-4 on the day to sit at 3-7 overall against the primarily Division I field.
In five rounds of traditional play, the Crusaders defeated Texas Southern 764-690, while dropping matches to Duquesne (1082-722), Tulane (921-865), Jacksonville State (1100-829) and the host Aggies (1036-766).
The action concludes on Sunday with three rounds of bracket play.
