Women's bowling concludes season at second CCIW tournament


LINCOLN, Ill. — The Augustana Vikings women’s bowling team finished fifth at the second CCIW tournament over the weekend, wrapping this season with a sixth-place finish in the conference. 

Rose Klinger placed sixth in the individual rankings with a total of 475, with game scores of 145, 141, and 189. Klinger led Augie in Baker play with 10 strikes, while being tied with Madelyn Lathrop in single-pin spares with five in the traditional format. 

Samantha Olson finished 10th with a total of 457 in 16 complete frames, with frame scores of 155, 146, and 156, and led in Baker format with 13 spares. Other top-20 individual placements came from Lathrop in 11th and Delaney Walsh in 12th.

After both CCIW meets, the Vikings finished sixth with a final record of 5-8. 

Klinger, Sarah Stevanovic, and Samantha Novak will head to Addison, Ill. on Friday, March 8 for the USBC Individual Sectionals.
