NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt was the fifth-ranked team in the NTCA’s final coaches’ poll of the 2023-24 season, which was released Thursday.
The Dores ended their season in early April when they fell to national runner-up Arkansas State in the championship match of the Rochester regional. The Red Wolves were ranked second in the postseason poll.
Since the end of their season, three Commodores were tabbed All-America, Paige Peters was a first-team selection, Victoria Varano made the second team and Haley Lindley was an honorable mention. Lindley was also named to the NTCA All-Rookie first team.
National champion Jacksonville State topped the poll with a unanimous 35 of 35 votes. Fellow Conference USA foe Youngstown State came in at No. 3. The fourth-rated team was North Carolina A&T.
