Chatmon Guns For 800th Career Win at ISTAP Hornet Classic


MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State University Head Bowling Coach Andrew Chatmon looks to claim career-win number 800 at 2023 ISTAP Hornet Classic starting on Friday at AMF Bowlero Lanes.
 
The Tournament opens with five game total pin baker matches on Friday, Nov. 17 at 8:45 a.m. Saturday’s play will start at 9:45 a.m. and will be 5-man traditional team matches. Sunday will be bracket play and will start at 8:30 a.m.

Alabama State will be joined by Alabama A&M, Florida A&M, UAB, Grambling State and Emmanuel University. 

 

Alabama State went 3-3 last weekend as the Lady Hornets claimed second place at the Sonic Boom Invitational in Jackson, Miss.

 

Alahna DeGruy had a 205 average with 1025 pin falls to earn Sonic Boom Invitational All-Tournament honors last weekend.

 

Freshman Payton Hartgove rolled a 201 average with 1005 total pins to finish fifth overall.

 

AMF Bowlero is located at 1661 Eastern Blvd in Montgomery. Admission is free and open to the public.
